Stephen Allen Commenced a 5 year indentured apprenticeship in 1972 specialising in purpose made joinery. He was awarded entrance to IBICC (Associate level) in 1976.
He worked as a site joiner, shop fitter, boat builder and taught woodwork for 2 and a half years, before moving South and establishing his business in 1984.
His approach to furniture design is open, primarily based on client input and individual requirements. He has a keen interest in architectural design, with his favourites being Art Deco,
Arts & Crafts, Shaker, Retro, Islamic/Moorish, Danish/Swedish and Modern, having influenced past designs.
He works with the very best quality ethically sourced timbers, man-made materials and veneers and incoroporates the latest state of the art fittings, with finishes ranging from the modern spray applied, to oils, waxes and the classic French polish.
Each piece is individually designed to suit each unique station, the end result, excellently crafted pieces of joinery for the discerning clientelle.
